Hailed as the cleanest lake in Asia, the Kayangan Lake is Coron, Palawan’s primary attraction and one of the most photographed spots in the Philippines. No trip to Coron would be complete without exploring the natural marvel of Kayangan Lake and witnessing its breathtaking scenery. Its crystalline waters enveloped into the mountain walls of huge granite rock formations spread across the turquoise seas around Calamian Group of Islands. The mountain lake’s beauty is truly a sight to behold.
Kayangan Lake is only accessible by boat. From Coron Town, it will take approximately 15 minutes by boat and a 10-minute mountain trail to reach the lake.
While already famous for its stunning clear waters, Kayangan Lake became even more serene and pristine this quarantine. Tourists have been prohibited from visiting the lake for nearly five months and counting. In return, the lake was able to rest and recover. Its undisturbed waters became more crystal-clear. When you peer through the lake, the rock formations beneath also became more visible.
